Warren Bobrow is the creator of the popular blog cocktailwhisperer.com and the author of Apothecary Cocktails, Whiskey Cocktails and Bitters and Shrub Syrup Cocktails.
Warren has taught classes on spirits and cocktails all over the world, including an advanced class on rum at the Moscow Bar Show. He's taught the fine art of social media and food writing at the New School in New York as well as classes on creative cocktails and mocktails at Stonewall Kitchen in Maine.
Warren has written hundreds of articles on cocktails and food for Chilled Magazine, Saveur, Whole Foods/Dark Rye, Total Food Service, Eater, Voda, Serious Eats, Foodista, Distiller, Sip and Beverage Media as well as many other international outlets. He has also written for the Oxford Encyclopedia: Gotham issue and the Sage Encyclopedia of Food Issues. Warren was a 2010 Ministry of Rum judge, was selected to be a judge for the 2016 Edible Communities EDDY Awards, and was the only American food journalist asked to participate in Fete de la Gastronomie, a nationwide celebration of French cuisine in Burgundy.

Warren Bobrow's Bitter & Shrub Syrup Cocktails is Unique, Invigorating and Filled with Inspiring Recipes

I was hooked at the introduction and from that point on the book simply took a life of its own. Filled with stunning photographs and recipes that inspire, this book brings a fresh spark to future soirees and gatherings. Warren motivates us to learn more, craft better and to expect excellence from our cocktails. This is not only a delicious history lesson, it is also my new "go to" book which will be referenced often.

A truly delicious book

I bought the book at a book signing. It's my 3rd in his wonderful books. The recipes aren't that difficult to reproduce and they taste amazing. Once you get the essentials, you'll only need only a few things from grocery or near by liquor store. Its well worth investment. Can't wait for the 4th book.

Another Keeper from Bobrow

This is the third in a series of wonderful cocktail books from Warren Bobrow. Each volume is filled with informative, historical, and entertaining prose, captivating pictures, and unique recipes. I really love the smaller size of the book and the spiral binding as it's easy to have this open on the counter while I'm mixing things up. This edition highlights the history and usage of bitter potions both potable and non as well as those vinegary shrubs that give pop to a drink. Lots of tasty recipes and DIY tips makes this book an essential for the home enthusiast or professional. Highly recommended!
